the world’s last blockbuster released their first commercial in decades. a super bowl commercial. on vhs.
we teased the film on blockbuster’s social channels and their biggest fans tore up the web speculating what the beloved brand might do. an nft? a feature length film? a streaming service?
ten copies of the vhs tape were made available for rental. on the day of the superbowl, the film was live streamed from the world’s last blockbuster in bend, oregon.
local, national, and even international stations visited the store, all playing the commercial — in its 40s — entirety on their networks.
